Warehouse and Supply Chain Supervisor

We are seeking a Warehouse and Supply Chain Supervisor to oversee the efficient collection, receiving, sorting, storage, and distribution of all stock and orders at the warehouse. This role is responsible for managing the warehouse team based out of Fyshwick.

This is a logistics supervision role reporting to the Logistics Manager, responsible for:

  • Managing the efficient and cost-effective collection, receiving, sorting, storage, and distribution of all stock and orders at the warehouse and Stores where required.
  • Driving team knowledge and ability to distinguish between saleable and unsaleable goods and ensuring the team is aware of standards in relation to donated goods.
  • Overseeing and achieving nominated targets for output of saleable goods.
  • Managing minimum levels of stock and goods in the warehouse.
  • Ensuring the efficient and cost-effective fulfilment of store orders using correct paperwork, systems, and operating procedures.
  • Ensuring appropriate care is taken when handling goods.
  • Ensuring all goods and equipment are accurately accounted for, with no unauthorized use of equipment and vehicles, warehouse, and grounds remaining secure.
  • Supervising team members to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition and all inspection, defect reporting, servicing, repairs, and cleaning/housekeeping requirements are achieved.
  • Supervising team members to ensure the warehouse is maintained in a safe condition, and all team members follow all safe systems of work, defect reporting, traffic management, and safety instruction.
  • Overseeing the collection of goods (ranging from bags of textiles to large and bulky furniture items) from donor residences, places of work, and other locations as directed, in accordance with guidelines and in a safe, professional, timely, and efficient manner.

About You

  • A valid Australian Driver's License, truck (MR) or forklift license;
  • Previous experience in a Logistics or Transport and Distribution Supervision role;
  • An understanding, empathy, and appreciation of others with the ability to promote values and ethos;
  • WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and practicing these day-to-day.
