About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our healthcare team as a Medical Unit Support Specialist. As a key member of the patient care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the medical unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Records Management: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is readily available for the healthcare team.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as a communication link between patients, families, and healthcare staff, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth interactions.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the nursing team, including tasks such as preparing charts, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, using your excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:
  • Education: High school level coursework in English grammar and composition, as well as basic mathematics.
  • Experience: Six months of either direct patient care experience or clerical office experience, which has provided knowledge of utilizing a computer to access information.
  • Certifications: Successful completion of a Medical Terminology course or equivalent, and a score of 70% or greater on a screening medical terminology test.
