About the Role

The Chandler Macleod team is seeking an experienced Assistant Director Finance to join our team on a 6-month casual temporary assignment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for producing audited annual financial statements, budgets, and monthly financial reports and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the planning, preparation, execution, and monitoring of external budget and reporting activities.
  • Updating annual estimates and monthly profiles in alignment with Government's budget processes.
  • Liaising and negotiating with the Department of Finance and other external stakeholders on budget-related matters.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports and advice to support business decision-making and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Developing and presenting a range of written material of a financial and business nature, including correspondence, briefs, and reports.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant academic qualifications with membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA), Certified Practising Accountants (CPA), or other equivalent professional finance bodies.
