Job Overview

This position involves the operation of major plant items to undertake maintenance and minor construction activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate various machinery and vehicles (e.g. tractors, excavators, graders, backhoes etc.) and trucks up to HR level
  • Maintain equipment and conduct basic repairs
  • Use operational software for reporting and task tracking
  • Evaluate work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work across diverse projects within a community setting.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • School Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of two years' experience in operating major plant such as backhoe, dozer / compactor, excavator, front end loader, tractor, grader, street sweeper, water tanker, garbage compactor or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in civil construction and/or maintenance activities
  • Current RMS Issued Traffic Control Card and SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Training Card or willingness to obtain
  • Current National WHS Construction Card (White card)
  • Class HR Licence
