About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our team on short-term projects in Dandenong. As a key member of our workforce, you will be responsible for carrying out tasks related to mechanical fitting, welding, and fabrication.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with various clients across different industries, developing their skills and expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical fitting tasks, including assembly, repair, and maintenance of equipment and machinery;
  • Perform welding and fabrication duties as required;
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines;
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, meeting client requirements and expectations;
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment;
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related trade;
  • Have a minimum of [2-5 years] experience in a similar role, preferably in the Australian Engineering and Manufacturing sectors;
  • Be able to weld and fabricate using various techniques and materials;
  • Own necessary tools, PPE, and a reliable vehicle;
  • Hold high-risk tickets (desirable);
  • Have the right to work in Australia;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
