The Project

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors Pty Limited and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including:

  • Albury Wodonga Military Area (including North, South & East Bandiana, Latchford Barracks, Wirlinga)
  • Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
  • RAAF Base Wagga

The proposed capital investment of $1.7b will incorporate a variety of elements including:

  • Construction of new messing and living in accommodation
  • Construction of new training facilities
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
  • Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
Your Opportunity

This role will support the project delivery teams with the procurement and contract management of subcontract packages, cost forecasting, control and reporting and assist with the administration of the Head Contract requirements.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Providing assistance in the procurement, letting, engagement, and administration of subcontractors and suppliers to perform the Contract works
  • Management of subcontracts post-contract execution
  • Processing accruals and ensuring costs are committed
  • Coordinating day-to-day commercial aspects of the site, invoicing, progress claims, docket entry
  • Assisting with variations with subcontractor and client
  • Evaluating/negotiating contractual claims with sub-contractors
  • Cost reporting and Subcontractor cash flow forecasting
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary (Bachelor) degree in Engineering, Commerce, Accounting, Business, Law or associated disciplines
  • 5+ years' contracts experience in building
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel and MS word
  • High level of financial knowledge and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate commitment to safety, teamwork and the ability to build strong relationships
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as attractive relocation package that includes removalist costs and LAFHA (for eligible individuals) OR FIFO/DIDO options are available.
