Your Role:

This senior role contributes to the achievement of departmental, branch, and corporate goals by managing an assigned book of business. You'll work closely with our National Underwriting Centre (NUC) and other internal customers to develop effective portfolio analysis strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Book Management

  • Design and implement effective portfolio analysis, profit, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with NUC and other internal customers regarding book management strategy and maintain a 'one voice' with brokers.
  • Monitor and report on the status of open claims for assigned accounts and make recommendations.
  • Prepare thoroughly for account reviews with management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry, competitive environment, and Chubb's products and capabilities.

Underwriting Quality and Compliance

  • Adhere to underwriting, compliance, and file documentation standards and workflows.
  • Evaluate and accept or decline new lines, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority.
  • Evaluate risks that exceed authority and make recommendations for acceptance or declination.
  • Recommend account trade-off decisions.

Sales and Marketing

  • Achieve individual producer targets as specified in your business plan.
  • Develop an effective business development strategy to prospect for new business across SBU/product lines and broker segments.
  • Demonstrate ability to proactively identify and implement intelligent solutions to unique underwriting situations.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in pricing techniques, alternative risk transfer, and reserves by case and book of business.
