We are seeking a passionate Care Professional to join our team at the YMCA Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to the development of their skills and character.

About the Role

This position involves working as part of a dynamic team to provide high-quality care and education to primary school-aged children before and after school, and during school holidays. You will be responsible for creating engaging activities that promote learning, socialization, and fun

In this role, you will have the chance to work with a diverse group of children and families, developing your communication and interpersonal skills while fostering strong relationships with colleagues and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care and supervision to children in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Plan and implement stimulating activities that cater to different age groups and interests
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff members through effective communication and teamwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that meet the needs of children and families
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • A Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
