This role involves performing preventative maintenance, faultfinding and breakdowns on a range of manufacturing equipment.

You will work as part of a team that values collaboration and adaptability to assist each other where required. The role requires an experienced 'hands-on' individual who can work day and afternoon shifts and be on call.

The position is within the Maintenance Team, located in Dandenong South, reporting directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to improve efficiency and performance in all areas.
  • Minimise downtime and optimise plant efficiency by working in a dynamic manner.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Exercise strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Undertake shift work and respond to on-call requirements.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis.
  • Contribute to maintaining a zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) site.
  • Maintain excellent communication skills.
Requirements
  • Mechanical trade qualifications.
  • Maintenance fitter trade qualifications, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing.
  • Confined Space certification.
  • EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license.
  • Forklift license.
  • Knowledge of servicing equipment, including mechanical components, bearings, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with maintenance databases.
  • Ability to access and reply to emails.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years in a food manufacturing environment with compliance standards.
  • TIG welding experience.
  • Knowledge of interpreting spare parts.
  • Experience in maintenance planning.
