As a Senior Financial Analyst at Amazon, you will be the driving force behind the optimization and strategic growth of our fulfillment network. With a unique blend of financial expertise and analytical skills, you will uncover hidden insights that propel our Australian operations to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delve deep into financial data and operational metrics to analyze trends, risks, and opportunities across individual Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and our broader fulfillment network.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and forecasts to empower strategic decision-making.
  • Partner closely with FC Controllers and Operations leaders to provide insightful financial reports, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lend your financial acumen to network-level strategic planning, assessing the financial implications of network design, capacity changes, and other operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of new processes, technologies, or business models for our FC operations.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team in Australia, working closely with our FC Leaders and Regional/Network leaders to shape the future of our growing fulfillment network. With a mix of corporate office work and frequent visits to our fulfillment sites, you will gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of Amazon's logistics ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems.
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience working with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
