This role is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in hydraulic modeling, system planning, and infrastructure investigations to inform business decisions, support network performance, and enable sustainable growth.

You will be responsible for applying your knowledge of water distribution systems, GIS, and data analysis to drive strategic planning and decision-making. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

A successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience. Expertise in hydraulic modeling software, water distribution system planning, GIS, data, and water infrastructure is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively contribute to team objectives by completing allocated tasks, participating in decision-making, and fostering a culture of service excellence.
  • Uphold safety standards for yourself and others, ensuring compliance with WHS procedures and maintaining fitness for work.
  • Develop and support growth plans for existing and future water infrastructure using network models to meet current and future requirements.
  • Maintain and develop water distribution hydraulic models, support consultancy briefs, and assist with GIS/IT tool customisation.
  • Respond to technical queries principally growth related within agreed timelines.
  • Adopt contemporary technical knowledge and standards to enhance team outputs and ensure quality and efficiency in planning and modelling.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience.
  • Expertise in hydraulic modeling software, water distribution system planning, GIS, data, and water infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders.
