As a key member of our facilities team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the village remains safe, functional, and visually appealing. Reporting to the Village Manager, you'll be responsible for handling day-to-day maintenance tasks, coordinating repairs, and maintaining the community's outdoor spaces.

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and minimizing disruptions to residents.
  • Maintain the village gardens, mow lawns, and perform general landscaping duties to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory of tools and supplies to optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and external contractors to ensure seamless interactions and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and risk management practices to protect yourself and others from harm.
About Your Skills
  • You'll need excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
  • A strong ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is essential for success in this role.
  • Good physical fitness, including the ability to lift and move items up to 15 kg, is required for this hands-on position.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and a passion for gardening will serve you well in this role.
