Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage a healthcare team in a rural setting, providing high-quality services to the local community. As a Health Service Manager Grade 5, you will be responsible for optimizing business outcomes, managing change, and leading cultural transformation.

About the Role

As a key member of the Far West Local Health District team, you will work collaboratively with the Manager to lead cultural change, empower staff to provide high-quality healthcare, and act as a senior clinician and role model. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring care is delivered within professional boundaries, legal and ethical parameters, National Patient Safety and Quality Standards, and NSW Health policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Qualifications at degree level in either health administration, management, or experience working in primary health care models
  • Proven broad, comprehensive primary healthcare experience with advanced clinical skills to work effectively in regional areas
  • Extensive knowledge and strategies to maximize operational performance for long-term sustainability in a Primary Health Care Service
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of proposals, grants, conflict resolution, mediation, negotiation, and the capacity to influence others to achieve organizational outcomes
  • Demonstrated excellence in collaborating with others, team building, communication, leading through influence, change management, and execution of multifaceted decisions
  • Current driver's license
