Job RoleA Lineworker constructs, installs and maintains electricity distribution networks as part of a team, ensuring network integrity is maintained safely, reliably and affordably. Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting technical drawings and network line diagrams
- Constructing and maintaining electricity distribution networks in accordance with policies, quality systems and safety procedures as well as statutory requirements
- Responding to emergencies on high/low voltage distribution assets
The successful applicant will possess strong technical knowledge and experience working on overhead and underground line networks, holding a current electrical licence and certification in line work, valid Australian driver's licence (heavy vehicle desirable) and relevant security clearance. They may be required to travel within the state, including overnight or longer stays as required, conducting work outdoors in various types of weather.
