Job Title: Teacher Aide

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to support our teachers in delivering high-quality education to our students.

  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our students receive the best possible educational experience.
About the Role

This part-time position involves providing routine support for teachers, including assisting with planning of student routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist teachers in supporting students with their daily needs.
  2. Communicate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  3. Support communication between teachers and external providers of support services.
  4. Provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
  5. Communicate with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information.
  6. Address immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure.
  7. Provide basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting.
  8. Liaise with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
  9. Support the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.
  10. Provide medical intervention support to a student/s, under specific conditions, with appropriate training and guidance.
  11. Provides specialised communication support for students and teachers in areas such as AUSLAN and braille.
Requirements
  • Part time - 5 hours per week
  • Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
