We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Scientist to join our team based at our Ormeau laboratory. This role is ideal for an entry-level or experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career.

You will be responsible for testing asphalt, aggregates & PMB to relevant standard methods in our NATA Laboratory. Key responsibilities include:

• Sampling and testing asphalt, aggregates and bitumen including onsite sampling.
• The handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards.
• Management of reporting, record keeping and calibrations including reporting non-conforming product.
• Conducting procedures safely and maintain good housekeeping of laboratory and surrounds.
• Providing technical support to production departments.

To succeed in this position, you will require strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others, and teamwork.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (advantageous).
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• A valid Driver's Licence.

This role offers a competitive salary package, ranging from $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
