Mater Health Services is a leading not-for-profit healthcare provider in Queensland, Australia. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist.
The successful applicant will have recent experience working clinically as a nurse within an acute mental health inpatient unit and possess specialist mental health nursing and/or perinatal and infant mental health qualifications. This role is responsible for providing high standards of service delivery by ensuring clinical practice is contemporary, individualised, safe, recovery-focused and evidence-based.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing contemporary mental health care to mothers or primary carers
- Utilising mental health nursing clinical skills within an integrated framework for mothers affected by acute and complex perinatal mental illness
- Providing mental health nursing care that takes into consideration the infant and the parent/primary caregiver-infant relationship
