The Opportunity

To support our continued growth and success, we are seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager / Submissions Manager to join our architecture practice in Sydney. This 9-12 month parental leave cover role has the potential to become permanent after the initial period. As a key member of our pursuits team, you will play a critical role in supporting our bid and graphic design specialists in Sydney and Melbourne.

As a seasoned professional, you will oversee the pursuit process, manage project schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality submissions. Your expertise in writing tenders and managing expressions of interest within the AEC industry will be essential in driving our business forward.

  • Develop and implement proposal strategies to drive business growth and client engagement
  • Manage and coordinate internal meetings, follow-up sessions, and stakeholder input to meet project deadlines
  • Contribute to content development, ensuring all proposals meet the required standards and timelines
  • Oversee the workload of the pursuits team, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of open tender portals, summarizing opportunities and presenting findings to leadership
  • Engage in market research and sector analysis to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with marketing, sector, and office leaders to drive business outcomes
  • Ensure quality control of all proposals, including editorial content, visual appearance, and relevance
  • Populate response schedules, spreadsheets, and project outlines with key data
  • Write sections of submissions based on provided bullet points and information
  • Initiate and manage the go/not go process
  • Update CRM database with leads and pursuits as received
  • Maintain up-to-date marketing and pursuit materials, including project sheets and CVs
