The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Risk Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong passion for health and safety. You will provide essential leadership, coaching, and support to our Operations team, assisting in the effective management of risks and incidents and ensuring the successful implementation of our National Safety system and strategy.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive safety culture to drive continuous improvement in WHS practices
- Support operations team and other cross-functional areas to apply skills and knowledge to effectively manage WHS
- Develop, implement, and review WHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the safety of people, sites, and the environment
- Risk management activities including risk assessments, site inspections, and actions to mitigate risk
- Provide expert advice and support on WHS matters to all levels of the organisation
- Investigate workplace incidents and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Support the development and delivery of WHS training and awareness programs
- Maintain accurate WHS records, reports, and documentation

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational Work, Health Safety position
- Experience in retail multi-site operations highly regarded
- Knowledge and on-job experience working with WHS legislation and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
