Job Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a diverse range of cranes including harbour mobile and gantry cranes with occasional work on Crawler Cranes and drilling and piling equipment. This hands-on role requires travel throughout Australia as required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Major and minor servicing tasks
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Mechanical Hydraulic and Electrical systems
  • Inspecting and testing electrical and instrumentation systems and components
  • Routine maintenance repairs and component replacements
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships in the field
  • Completing service reporting and manufacturers documentation
  • Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines in the workplace
Key Requirements:
  • Trade qualified in Auto Electrical or Diesel Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime as required
  • Able to work independently in the field problem solve in various situations
  • Desirable crane industry experience although not essential
  • Able to fault find and rectify hydraulic mechanical and electrical issues
  • Possession of a current driver's license
