About the Role



We are seeking an experienced Transformation Specialist to lead a newly integrated change enablement function and make a real difference in NSW public schools.




  • Full-time, ongoing opportunity with a competitive salary of $116,211-$128,061 (plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading).
  • Hybrid working arrangement from Eveleigh.

The Department of Education is the largest provider of public education in Australia, delivering high-quality public education to two-thirds of the NSW student population.



The Operations Portfolio Management Office (OPMO) is established to govern and enable a best practice approach to program and project delivery, customer-centred service, operational, and digital excellence for the Department.



Responsibilities




  • Craft meticulous change plans and proactively mitigate risk to ensure seamless delivery of change programs.
  • Drive adoption of change and foster high engagement in service delivery.
  • Simplify processes and improve service levels.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various teams and departments to ensure alignment and minimise disruptions during change implementation.


Key Requirements




  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

  • Experience in developing and implementing successful change initiatives.
  • Ability to balance stakeholder needs in a complex change program across multiple groups and locations.
  • Expertly navigate change resistance and overcome challenges for seamless implementation.
  • Provide expertise advise on emerging change issues.
  • Effectively manage and leverage communication channels to facilitate change implementation and engagement.
