Job SummaryThe Project Engineer will have a versatile role within the Pioneer-Burdekin PHES project design team, providing engineering expertise, design coordination, and project management. The successful candidate will operate effectively across different design areas, functional groups, and divisions to lead independent work packages and support the Design Managers.
Key Responsibilities- Support the management of technical work packages to deliver the agreed program or project outcomes.
- Manage design contracts, and design works undertaken by specialist consultants and delivery contractors.
- Contribute to design processes to achieve agreed design objectives for all aspects of the project.
- Ensure operational considerations are maintained throughout the design process, including the identification of strategic asset management planning.
- Proactively develop and maintain constructive working relationships with team members and key stakeholders, working collaboratively to achieve mutual business outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland or CPEng.
- Project Management qualifications.
- 5+ years' experience in the development and execution of major engineering design works.
- Demonstrated ability to develop structured project execution plans (including scheduling, resourcing, and communication/engagement) to ensure preparation is sufficient to achieve required outcomes and planning is aligned with broader organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects and operational objectives, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
