Electrical Interface Project Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Interface Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This role will involve working on a major project, the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission line network, which will provide new high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects to electricity consumers.

The successful candidate will be based in Sydney and work full-time in our offices Monday to Friday. The role will progress to ad-hoc travel to site and eventually full-time site work based at Merotherie camp and offices on a 14/7 roster.

About the Role
  • Assist with the design, build, finance, operate and maintain of the REZ transmission line network.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop contractual letters for third parties and end-clients as required, and capture meeting minutes with each third party.
  • Maintain effective relationships with third parties to avoid disputes and commercial compensation claims.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical equipment, ideally in substations.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of layout and primary equipment for substation projects up to 500kV.
  • Proficient with various software tools, such as AutoCAD and ETAP.
