The New York State Government is seeking a skilled Hospital Janitorial Worker to join our team in Binghamton. This role involves performing various tasks requiring light, medium, and heavy physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area.

Responsibilities:

  • Picking up and removing hazardous articles from floors, furniture, and equipment.
  • Moving furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning and care functions.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting all areas of lavatories using hand-operated equipment and detergent.
  • Dusting assigned areas using hand-dusting equipment.
  • Using mops, brushes, detergents, buffers, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning implements to wash floors, corridors, stairs, and stairwells, walls, partitions, windows from the inside of the building.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and have the ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. No education or experience requirements are necessary.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid time off and holidays.
