Job Title: Senior Environmental Approvals Specialist

In this role, you'll guide major infrastructure projects across transport, water, energy, and property through planning and approvals. This will involve delivering planning and environmental assessments, building strong client relationships, and contributing to winning work through compelling proposals.
As a leader, you'll mentor and help shape a positive team culture, providing expert advice on major infrastructure projects in renewables, transport, water, and property. You'll also collaborate with specialists across ecology, acoustics, land contamination, engineering, and design.
Recent projects include strategic environmental assessments of emerging renewable energy technologies such as offshore wind, pumped hydro, and hydrogen. You'll also be involved in planning approvals for iconic infrastructure projects like the Beaufort Bypass, Inland Rail, and large-scale energy transition projects like EnergyConnect and the Central West Orana REZ.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong track record of delivering great outcomes for clients and communities. Bring your expertise in environmental planning and approvals, including experience leading or contributing to major projects and approval strategies. A sound understanding of Queensland's environmental assessment frameworks and planning legislation is essential.
We're looking for someone with demonstrated ability to manage or support complex, multidisciplinary projects. Strong communication skills and an interest in mentoring others are also important. Above all, you'll need a team-first mindset and drive to grow with us.

- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, urban planning, civil engineering)
- 3–15 years of experience in environmental planning and approvals
- Proven experience leading or contributing to major projects and approval strategies
- A sound understanding of Queensland's environmental assessment frameworks and planning legislation
- Demonstrated ability to manage or support complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Strong communication skills and an interest in mentoring others
- A team-first mindset and drive to grow with us
