Rail Track Design and Delivery Engineer

Take on a key role in the study and delivery of various rail projects as a Principal Track Engineer at PERSOLKELLY.

About the Role

This initial 12-month role (potential for extension) is crucial to the success of rail projects. The position will be based in Perth with occasional travel to the Pilbara. The primary responsibility will be to support the review and approval of track and civil designs and other project deliverables.

About the Role

  • A commitment to health, safety, and sustainability is paramount.
  • Support the Project Manager to ensure project works are carried out safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop Scopes of Work that meet stakeholder requirements and deliver best value to the business.
  • Develop and review project governance documentation.
  • Work with stakeholders to create high-quality design solutions.
  • Perform technical design reviews to ensure compliance with internal and external Standards.
  • Challenge existing processes to achieve best-practice for all project phases.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Professional Engineer accreditation (or equivalent)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent) - Track or Civil preferred
  • Current full Western Australian "C" class motor vehicle license

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in similar Track design and construction
  • Knowledge of railroad track maintenance and track renewal practices
  • Strong experience in "whole of rail" rail system delivery
  • Strong experience in project delivery and project governance
