About Our Event Security Team

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our event security team at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.

You will enjoy being part of a dynamic and professional team, helping to make sporting events happen. As an event security officer, you will be responsible for welcoming people, providing access control, checking for prohibited items, roaming and monitoring the crowd, and securing perimeters and restricted areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming people and providing event information
  • Controlling access at entry and exit points
  • Maintaining conditions of entry and enforcing venue rules
  • Providing crowd direction and management
  • Monitoring crowd behaviour and responding to incidents
  • Safeguarding event assets and equipment

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A current NSW Security License (Class 1A)

- A current First Aid Certificate

- Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (current)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
