Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across our assets and maintenance operations.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive fleet audits, implementing the asset management framework, and ensuring compliance with NHVIS, OEM standards, and legislative requirements.
  • They will also drive continuous improvement by using performance data to identify opportunities for innovation and optimise cost efficiency to support the delivery of contractual requirements.
  • Additionally, they will work closely with the Service Delivery team to implement the Asset Management Plan and minimise maintenance costs.
  • The role requires providing advice and insight to the leadership team on asset management best practices through reporting and data analyses to meet compliance requirements of all relevant legislation and regulations.
  • The incumbent will manage regulatory inspection schemes, lead incident investigations, and liaise with customers, auditors, and external parties as required.
  • Supporting the Head of Assets in recruitment, training, and competency management is also a key responsibility.
  • Maintaining and updating records for hazardous waste materials management and disposal procedures, as well as developing policies and procedures, is essential to the role.
  • Implementing and enhancing HSEQ frameworks across operations is critical to ensuring teams work safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a compliance, risk, or assurance role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry or similar.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in transport, business, compliance, and law or related discipline is highly desirable.
  • A current HR Licence and a Heavy Vehicle Inspection Ticket are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to engage and influence change.
  • A proven track record of delivering compliance and assurance initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong initiative and ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex quality and compliance issues.
