About this role

The mental health and wellbeing services provide a front door to the service system and offer a continuum of care and support, including clinical interventions and therapeutic support through an integrated framework approach.

We are seeking a self-motivated Team Lead for a Full Time opportunity that champions lived experience and advocates for human rights based in Cardinia.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise your expertise to promote an inclusive culture that values lived experience and the active inclusion of service users in our work.
• Work in a way that is informed by Mind's Lived Experience Strategy and Peer Work Framework.
• Support the development of a consistent narrative on the value of Lived Experience across quality, values and service outcomes.
• Lead delivery of services as defined in the Locals Service Model.
• Support, coach and mentor staff to meet people's needs and preferences.
• Provide supervision/line management to staff providing direct support.
• Positively influence the service culture that focuses on relational practice.

Requirements

• Intentional Peer Support Core and/or Advanced training is required.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health or related field are desirable but not required.
• Experience as a peer worker or holding a designated lived experience role.
• Proven leadership experience in coaching, mentoring and developing a team.
• Experience in Community Services, AOD, Mental Health or Government sectors.
