At the forefront of our organization, we are seeking an experienced and driven finance professional to join our team in Sydney. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers exposure across all core areas of finance and accounting within a dynamic, growing business.

About the Role
  • Monthly income reports require preparation and review.
  • Gathering and reporting information within our group reporting system - FTE, Debtors, main binder income, pending cash, PPO calculation.
  • General ledgers need preparation/reconciliation.
  • Problem solving and process improvement are key responsibilities.
  • We respond to local government statistic department for quarterly/annually reports.
  • Budgeting and forecasting are essential skills.
  • Preparation of financial statements is crucial.
  • Year end accounting book closure management and liaison with external auditors are necessary.
  • Maintaining internal controls and monitoring/reporting on them is vital.
  • Process improvements identification and implementation are ongoing tasks.
  • Ad-hoc reports based on management requests are prepared.

A CA or CPA-qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance will bring a strong technical foundation and a proactive attitude to problem-solving and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, a strong understanding of internal controls, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. They must also have a collaborative approach to leadership, experience coaching others, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
