Billys Boulevard Seeks a Skilled Cook

We are a dynamic team at Billys Boulevard, seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our crew. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards.

  • Stock control and management, including ordering, examining, and storing food stock, to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
  • Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality, and regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment to guarantee perfectly cooked dishes.
  • Preparing and cooking food, including food preparation for both a la carte and function service, to meet the expectations of our discerning customers.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A passion for food and cooking, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in the kitchen.
  • Experience in preparation, cooking, butchering, and/or pastry cooking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A commitment to providing input into seasonal menu design and on-going dish development, and a willingness to showcase local produce.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III and AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • At least 2 years' full-time work experience in the position of Cook in reputed restaurants/cafes in Australia
  • Australian citizenship or Australian PR
