About the RoleAusphin Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Outback Steakhouse in North Strathfield. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and plan menus with Chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality.
- Oversee, coordinate, and organize special functions and large bookings to ensure seamless execution.
- Plan the purchase and pricing of goods in accordance with budget to optimize profitability.
- Keep records of stock levels and financial transactions for the restaurant to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure dining, restaurant, and kitchen spaces adhere to health regulations and are clean, functional, and of suitable appearance.
- Communicate with customers to receive feedback about their dining experience and improve customer satisfaction.
- Promote the restaurant brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and community events.
- Take reservations, greet guests, and assist in taking orders to provide exceptional customer service.
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
- At least 3 years of experience as a chef
- Australian citizens or permanent residents
- Experience planning menus and new dishes
- Experience making food and non-food orders and stocking the kitchen
- Experience training other team members
- Experience upholding proper health and safety requirements in the kitchen
- Experience studying the current situation in the industry to ensure the business is working in accordance with market demands
