Sports Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Sports Teacher to join our team at St Columba's Catholic Primary School Leichhardt North. As a Sports Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students in Kindergarten to Year 6.

The successful applicant will have a strong passion for sports and physical education, and be able to create engaging and challenging learning experiences for students. You will also be responsible for coordinating our school's Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, and attending SCS organised carnivals and Gala days with our teams.

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies. You will also be expected to utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress, and employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality physical education lessons to students in Kindergarten to Year 6
• Coordinate school Athletics and Swimming Carnivals
• Attend SCS organised carnivals and Gala days with our teams
• Develop and implement engaging and challenging learning experiences for students
• Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
• Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Education
• Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
