Cleaning & Laundry Professional

Cleaner/Laundry role available with a reputable organization in the aged care sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning:
- Regularly clean and disinfect resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the facility.
- Dispose of waste, including both regular trash and medical waste, in accordance with proper guidelines and safety protocols.
- Follow strict infection control procedures, such as using appropriate cleaning agents and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infections.
- Ensure that cleaning and hygiene supplies are adequately stocked and available for residents and staff.
- Laundry:
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, towels, and other fabrics used by residents and staff.
- Regularly use, clean and maintain laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers.
- Maintain a system for lost and found items to ensure residents' belongings are returned promptly.
Requirements:
- Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
- Effective communication abilities.
