At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role will involve leading the design of equipment within our PPA product portfolio, working closely with commercial and sales teams, engineers, and operations staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve profitability, while maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
  • Design systems to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, considering factors like installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve product issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance on product developments within our product lines.
  • Stay up-to-date with current industry standard methodologies and best practices.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related engineering role, preferably with knowledge of AS/ISO standards.
  • Presentation and communication skills to develop credibility with customers.
  • Self-motivated and committed, with ability to run schedules and maintain critical timelines.
  • Proficient user of 2D and 3D drawing packages (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office.
