Program Manager for Defence Supply Chain Uplift

The Department of State Development seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead the Defence Supply Chain Uplift program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the defence sector or industrial supply chains and experience in developing and delivering programs that result in local suppliers accessing future defence contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster close relationships with key international defence primes, South Australian businesses and relevant state and commonwealth government agencies.
- Build South Australian defence supply chain capability in readiness for the AUKUS and Virginia Class Submarine programs.
- Develop and deliver programs of work that result in local suppliers being able to access future defence contracts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Significant experience working in the defence sector or industrial supply chains.
- An understanding of state and commonwealth defence policies.
- Presentation skills and ability to prepare clear and concise presentations.
- Ability to work under broad policy guidelines and determine priorities, plan, implement, evaluate and manage tasks, projects and research and analyse, integrate and report on a range of data and information from a variety of sources.
