Job Title:

Disability Support Navigator

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for individuals with disabilities to access support and services. However, navigating this system can be complex, especially for those who face barriers in accessing, communicating, and coordinating the services they need.

A Disability Support Navigator plays a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities and their families make the most of their NDIS funding. Their responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and communicating directly with individuals with disabilities, their families, and other support networks
  • Identifying appropriate community services that meet individual needs
  • Advocating for and supporting individuals to communicate their goals and aspirations to their stakeholder team and the National Disability Insurance Agency
  • Attending home and community visits to build relationships and networks
  • Undertaking case management tasks, including official notes and reports

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and networking skills, and a passion for assisting others in this field. They will also be keen to learn, grow, and make a difference.
