Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the daily needs of our residents at our aged care facility.

About the Role

This is a physically demanding role requiring tasks that involve bending, squatting, lifting and pushing. You must perform these tasks safely for yourself, colleagues and residents.

  • Prepare, plate and serve meals to residents in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Clean kitchen and dining room areas and related equipment to ensure high safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Support residents in dining areas to ensure a pleasant mealtime experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in the aged care sector.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow established procedures; good communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, work with limited supervision and think critically on your feet.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; reliability and flexibility with shift availability.
  • Genuine care and compassion during mealtimes.
