Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:
This role involves working within a dynamic community mental health team to provide high-standard clinical assessment, treatment, and support to clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in case management services, particularly in early psychosis, and be able to work effectively with carers and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within the Strengths Model of recovery-oriented practice, providing supervision and leadership to staff* Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for consumers with complex mental health needs* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver targeted interventions and support consumer engagement in care planning and delivery* Provide clinical supervision to other mental health staff* Develop and maintain relationships with consumers, carers, and community groups to promote recovery-focused care* Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures related to mental health care
Requirements:
* Current registration with relevant professional bodies (if applicable)* A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in mental health services* Extensive experience in case management services, particularly in early psychosis* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with consumers, carers, and community groups* Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 2014 (and amendments)* Current Victorian driver's license* Valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
