Job Description

As a Submarine Acoustic Warfare Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating and managing passive and active sonars and acoustic sensors onboard submarines
  • Detecting, tracking, and classifying noise sources in the ocean
  • Making tactical recommendations based on gathered information and data
  • Performing general seamanship duties, including control room watch-keeping, lookout, helmsman, and first responder roles
