A leading construction company in Canberra is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor/Foreman to oversee the successful delivery of a $25m Aged Care project.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, and communicating effectively with the project team.

As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and supervising all construction activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Oversee the excavation, structure, and finishes phases of the project
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Monitor project progress and report to the Site Manager on a regular basis
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff, preparing them for future leadership roles

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor/Foreman delivering projects in excess of $10m
  • Carpentry background
  • Previous experience with Tier 1-2 or well-known construction companies
  • Good proven tenure at previous companies
  • Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in managing excavation, structure, and finishes phases of construction projects
  • A can-do attitude and good work ethic
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and solve problems under pressure

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
