Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group in Launceston.

About the Job

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires you to provide high-quality care and support to children with social and emotional needs related to Autism, ADHD, or Trauma. You will be working closely with the children, their families, and our multi-disciplinary team to ensure they receive the best possible support and care.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between £31,143 and £32,183 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive:

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting the children's daily routines, such as meal preparation, personal care, and medication management. You will also be involved in planning and delivering activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience
  • Great communication skills
  • A driving licence (for community trips)
  • Flexibility (including sleeping at the home during shifts)
  • A qualification in residential childcare (we will pay for this if needed)
