Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As a Community Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting an Italian client with daily living tasks, enabling them to live an independent and holistic life.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support in everyday daily activities around the home, ensuring the client's comfort and well-being
- Deliver support with hygiene and personal care, promoting independence and dignity
- Offer assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment, fostering social connections
- Ensure medication compliance, which may include dispensing prescription medication, maintaining the client's health and safety
- Provide meal assistance, including meal preparation, promoting healthy eating habits
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Fluent Italian language skills
- A minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Individual Support
- A current Australian Drivers License (minimum P2) and reliable vehicle, along with comprehensive car insurance
- NDIS Clearance, First Aid certification (valid for 3 years), CPR certification (valid for 12 months), and National police clearance – or willingness to obtain
