We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to lead our psychology workforce at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM). As the Director of Psychology and Mental Health, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of our psychology services, ensuring high-quality care and education for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of clinical policies, plans, and programs to enhance our service's capability
- Provide clinical governance, including clinical accountability, credentialing, and scope of practice
- Collaborate with clinical and operational program managers to support the psychology roles within interdisciplinary teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- A tertiary qualification (Masters or Doctoral level qualification) in Psychology
- Registered as a Psychologist with AHPRA, with specialist endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
- AHPRA Primary and Secondary Supervisor endorsement for post-graduate psychology students and psychology registrars
- Endorsement for the Psychology Board of Australia in a relevant Area of Practice
- Extensive experience as a psychologist at a senior level in public health services and/or in Mental Health & Wellbeing
