About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing and deploying automated systems and processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex production machines, improving process cycle times, quality and availability. You will be responsible for timely support and resolution of production issues, guiding and directing resources to maintain equipment and processes at optimal levels.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, project manage the implementation of new automated production equipment and lead ongoing improvements throughout the asset lifecycle.

You will participate in formal systems design, product, process and certification reviews, contribute to manufacturing strategy and development of automation and provide input into the development of automation.

As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be working in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on innovation and problem-solving. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from designing and implementing new systems to improving existing ones.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices and tertiary qualifications in Mechatronic/Robotic Engineering. Software development and CAD/CAM experience is desirable, as is a strong mechanical 'hands-on' background.
