We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Technician to join our team at By Post: Konnecting Pty. As a Forklift Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of forklifts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts, including routine service, emergency repairs, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Interpret technical manuals and manufacturer instructions to perform necessary maintenance tasks and repairs.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with forklifts, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to test and repair faults.
- Diagnose and repair mast and attachment components, as well as LPG, electrical, and diesel systems.
- Tune and adjust LPG, electrical, and diesel systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace ignition systems, as well as identify and replace broken or defective parts.
- Perform safety inspections of forklifts prior to release to the work floor.
- Dismantle and remove electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
- Ensure work area and methods meet safety requirements and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Install electrical components and accessories to forklifts.
- Complete electronic service documents and logs for preventative maintenance tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with new technical information and techniques to ensure current knowledge and skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role with technical and mechanical knowledge.
- Electromechanical, automotive, and electrical trade qualifications are preferred.
- Ability to learn and apply good servicing techniques to perform preventative maintenance on all makes and models of forklifts.
- Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability to learn from experienced tradesmen.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen.
- Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures.
By Post: Konnecting Pty offers a competitive salary range of A$90,000 to A$110,000 per annum, commensurate with industry rates, skills, and experience.
