We've been awarded the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2 - Enabling Works project, a $322 million contract that involves constructing the first 1.3km of new light rail alignment, including a 320m bridge over the Parramatta River.

The project will connect Stage 1 and the Parramatta CBD to Sydney Olympic Park via Camellia, Rydalmere, Ermington, Melrose Park, and Wentworth Point.

We're seeking a skilled Cost Planner to join our team. As a Cost Planner, you'll be responsible for planning and administering subcontractor and materials costs for assigned projects and reporting on contract progress.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing Bills of Quantities and specifications for projects
• Undertaking cost planning, cost analysis, site measurements for progress payments and variations
• Reporting on job progress and cost control to the Project Manager
• Preparing progress claims to clients for payments of work done
• Checking and preparing payments to subcontractors and major suppliers
• Liaising with purchasing and site procurement requirements
• Liaising with Project Managers and designers for cost benefit analysis of design options
• Coordinating subcontract package setup
• Vetting analysis and recommendation of preferred subcontractors
• Assisting in the capture and development of data for variation/EOT claims

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Tertiary or trade qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying, and/or Project/Construction Management
• Proficient construction experience within cost planning
• Advanced skills in estimating computer software packages
• Advanced financial management skills
