Distinguished Java Software Engineer

This role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with a high-performing development team at Aon, responsible for the software delivery and support of a business-critical platform.

A key aspect of this position is creating software solutions on the platform and supporting applications, involving analysis, design, development, and testing. Strong collaboration skills are essential in an Agile environment, where teams work together to produce solutions that meet business needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in scrum activities, delivering new features, defect fixes, and system enhancements, as well as developing and maintaining technical documentation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Analyzing, designing, developing, and testing software solutions.
  • Collaborating with technical business analysts, technical leads, business colleagues, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Participating in scrum activities such as iteration planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to continuously improve the development process and delivery.
  • Drafting and implementing software requirements and specifications.

**Requirements:**

  • Proficient in Programming Languages such as Java, Java SpringBoot, Groovy, Typescript, Javascript, Angular.
  • Experience in Software testing (Unit, System, Integration, Functional, and Performance).
  • Hands-on experience with Application Development Tools such as Intellij, Gradle.
  • Knowledge in SDLC Methodologies such as Agile and experience in working in an Agile Environment.
  • Expert in implementation of API Integrations / web services – SOAP, REST.
