Verto People is seeking a skilled Compressor Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across the North East.

The ideal candidate will have proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems, ideally with experience in compressed air-related products. A good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous.

We offer a competitive salary package of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience, along with a company van, 25 days + bank holidays, company pension, overtime, and additional benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of compressed air equipment
  • Maintenance, repair, and installation of air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators, and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment
  • Performing emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment
  • Liaising with various engineering departments

Requirements:

  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical engineering systems
  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer/Service Engineer/Installation Engineer/Compressor Engineer/M&E Engineer or similar with compressed air experience
  • Good working knowledge of three-phase electrics and controls is advantageous
  • Willingness to travel and cover the North East of the UK
