Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at 2XM Recruit. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling underground mining materials handling equipment in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review factory orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements.
  • Assemble and disassemble all capital and used underground mining materials handling equipment.
  • Maintain onsite fixed and mobile plant, including completing maintenance schedule reports.
  • Work must be carried out by relevant Australian Standards and in line with internal Quality Systems.
  • Drive forklifts, operate overhead cranes, handle materials and equipment, and complete ancillary duties.

About You:

  • You have a commitment to high health, safety, and environmental workplace standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Persistence and Tenacity.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Cert.III in Engineering – Mechanical.
  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications.
  • 2 + Years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • LF license desirable.
